Our Pinot Grigio has been sourced from three vineyards across the south west of Western Australia; from Mt Barker, Frankland and Margaret River. The later season this year meant the fruit ripened in generally cooler conditions, preserving the Pinot Grigio’s delicate fruit characters.
Very clear and bright with a light straw hue.
Has a delicate but complex nose with lovely aromas of apple skin and pear.
A fresh and very well weighted wine. It is not overtly fruity but very textural and mouth filling with red apple and brown pear flavours. There’s a touch of drying astringency as a small component was given skin contact before fermentation and the slight ‘chalkiness’ contributes to its good length of flavour. A crisp dry Pinot Grigio that is best enjoyed as a young wine.
