Frankland River Shiraz - EXPORT STOCK
Just our second release in our Regional Range, our Frankland River Shiraz showcases what is arguably our strongest variety from this isolated but always very reliable sub region in the fabulous Great Southern. All this Shiraz was harvested, fermented and then matured as a single batch, in a combination of new and previously used French oak for 12 months. Minimal fining and filtration has ensured we’ve maximized the inherently generous fruit characters in this wine.
A deep, rich and vibrant crimson red.
Aromas of spicy dark plums with hints of beetroot that give this wine an interesting earthiness and add complexity to its generous fruit character.
Generously flavoured as expected from Frankland, with loads of delicious, smoky dark plum fruit characters. These fruit flavours are well balanced by the subtle and slightly chalky tannins. The wine’s fine acidity contributes to its great length of flavour and will ensure it continues to drink well over many years to come.
