2007 Zeepaard Shiraz

The 2007 vintage was hot and dry, outstanding fruit was seen from throughout the region. Due to favourable weather conditions throughout the growing season, disease was controlled.

Colour:
Deep ruby red.

Aroma:
There are hints of licorice and raspberry combined with a touch of white pepper.

Palate:
The palate is medium bodied with intense plum and berry flavours. These are nicely combined with spicy white pepper and a touch of oak is evident. Fine tannins are evident on the finish which is long and lasting.

Cellar Potential:
Designed for immediate consumption, however will reward the patient connoisseur with cellaring of approximately 3 to 5 years.
