Coby Ladwig - Assistant Winemaker

Coby's 'initiation' at West Cape Howe was in 2002 when he worked vintage while completing the final year of his winemaking degree at Curtin University.  He proved his ability, so we decided to keep him, and the following year he became a permanent fixture as our Assistant Winemaker.

Why did Coby choose to become a winemaker? “To travel the world and meet girls!!!” he says. In 2004 Coby travelled to Burgundy in France to learn a bit more from the ‘experts’, however is still looking for the girls…
