2017 "Hanna's Hill" Cabernet Malbec

West Cape Howe WinesVintage Description:

This well flavoured wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec sourced from some of the best vineyards in Frankland River. Named after one of the pioneers of the region, it is beautifully textured with intense berry fruit characters and great length. Enjoy now or after careful cellering.

Fruit Source:Frankland River
Colour:An amazingly inky & dense crimson with a purple red hue
Aroma:Intense aromas of dark berry fruits e.g. boysenberry & blackcurrant, with complexing dry savoury spice and lifted violets.
Palate:Beautifully full flavoured with great texture. The rich, dark berry fruit flavours are very well balanced by the drying tannins from the fruit and the well-integrated oak and gives this wine its great length and persistence of flavour. This is a wine with the depth of fruit and a spicy finish to be enjoyed while still young, but will also reward a few years in the cellar.
Cellar Potential:Beautiful drinking now and over the next 6 years or so.
