2019 Pinot Grigio |
 | Vintage Description: | An italian varity now growing in WA’s cooler South West, this is a luscious dry wine with the delicious flavours of fresh pear fruit. Enjoy as a young wine with many foods. |
| Winemaking Information: | Our Pinot Grigio has been sourced from three vineyards across the south west of Western Australia; from Mt Barker, Frankland and Margaret River. The later season this year meant the fruit ripened in generally cooler conditions, preserving the Pinot Grigio’s delicate fruit characters. |
| Fruit Source: | Mount Barker/Frankland |
| Colour: | Very bright and clear with just the tiniest hint of green/gold. |
| Aroma: | Has a delicate but complex nose with lovely aromas of ‘baked apple’ and pear skin. |
| Palate: | A fresh and very well weighted wine. It is not overtly fruity; it is very textural and mouth filling with pithy lime fruit flavours. There’s a touch of drying astringency as a small component was given skin contact before fermentation and the slight ‘chalkiness’ contributes to its good length of flavour. A crisp dry Pinot Grigio that is best enjoyed as a young wine. |
| Cellar Potential: | Best enjoyed while young. |
